Four Big Economic Indicators to Watch

There are many items that influence the day-to-day moves in a stock, bond, or commodity’s price — earnings news, corporate financials, simple supply and demand, and a whole lot more. Heck, I’ve even read an academic study that argued the weather has a huge influence on whether markets close up or down! But when it comes to figuring out the bigger-picture, longer-term moves for whole investment classes, there’s nothing better than watching a few key economic indicators. [more...]

My Identity may have Been Compromised

I got a notice yesterday that my identity maybe, could have, probably, possibly been compromised. The scariest part of it is the information that was compromised is essentially my entire life, it was a background investigation file. Restoring Your credit Status

by Bob Jones A crucial aspect in maintaining a high credit status is in point of fact the contents of your credit report. The credit report is very much the history of your monetary life, contained in a comprehensive document. The credit report details the credit score, which is a numeric grade typically between 300 and 850. Most lenders use the credit score to help them make their mind up whether you are worthy of credit. Furthermore, the score is also used to conclude your capability of paying a loan. [more...]

No surprise here; FBI and likely other federal agencies abuse the use of National Security Letters. Support the JUSTICE Act unless the Republicans can do better.

I have been railing against the Patriot Act (which is anything but) since its passage and I physically protested same back when AG Ashcroft visited Salt Lake City in circa 2003. Numerous provisions of that Act signed into law by the SOB (Son Of a Bush) were and remain egregious. The Patriot Act assailed our rights on so many fronts, not the least of which was broadening the use of National Security Letters (NSL). [more...]

Credit Repair! You May Have A Bad Credit Rating And Not Even Know It

When we talk about credit repair, most of us believe that repairing our credit rating is directly related to our mis management of our finance s, and in most cases that is true! However, many of us don’t realize that thousands of men and women every year find out they have bad credit due to credit fraud, and if you’re not 1% sure on how this happens, it’s a method by criminal organizations that are stealing your identity and using it for financial criminal activities. Discover How To Make The Best Deals With Original Creditors

By Michael Redbourn There are lots of articles around that explain how to talk or not talk to debt collectors and many people think that they should handle negotiations with the original creditor in the same way, and that's absolutely wrong. Welsh Investment letter – September 2009

~~~ V-SHAPED RECOVERY VERSUS SECULAR AND CYCLICAL HEADWINDS Growing up in Chicago, I looked forward to every baseball season, and I cheered for both the White Sox and Cubs, since neither team won that much. I never saw the point in being choosey. The GO-Go White Sox went to the World Series in 1959, before winning it 46 years later in 2005, and 88 years after winning in 1917. The Cubs haven’t won a World Series since 1908, and that 100 year streak appears safe in 2009. [more...]
