Accomplishing your dreams - one step at a time

Everyone has dreams and goals, some big, some small.  I have lots of them, but for me my two primary ones are 1) Be debt free and 2) ... free.  Make that dream or goal specific.  Word it as follows instead: “Pay off all $30,000 of my debt ... .  I have less than half the debt in 2006 and plan to be completely debt free except for my home within 3 years [more...]

Why Vodafone Is a Buy

Shiv Kapoor submits: I am looking at Vodafone ( VOD ) and I like what I see. Earnings have grown at an annualized rate of 21.8% while dividends have grown at 20.45% during the 1999 to 2009 period. Net debt divided by net debt plus equity is 29.75% which is within my 30% extra due care required threshold.
