Dell will pay $4M to settle NY consumer case

ALBANY, N.Y. — Computer maker Dell Inc . will pay $4 million in restitution and penalties more than a year after a New York court found the company engaged in false and deceptive advertising of its promotional credit financing and warranties. New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo says some consumers paid for things they didn't get, including warranties that cost them an extra $99 to $250.
