Xerox to acquire ACS for $6.4bn
By Alan Rappeport in New York Xerox said on Monday that it would acquire Affiliated Computer Services , in a cash-and-share deal valued at $6.4bn that will allow the copier company to expand into the document services sector. The offer by Connecticut based-Xerox, which has been looking to push beyond its core printing business, values ACS, which is based in Texas, at $63.11 a share.
