Resisting The Urge

I have met a lot of people who have taken steps to improve their finances in an incredible way, and then they fall victim to "the urge".  What is "the urge"?  It takes shape in various forms.  Here are a few … I have put off fun too long.  I deserve to have some fun.  It is OK to take a vacation and pay for it with our credit card. Is a new deal on climate change closer or further away?

Everyone seems to be agreed that a new global climate change deal at Copenhagen is essential and that the chances of success are balanced on a knife edge. And yet there are some mixed signals coming through. On the one hand we hear that China is signing up to new carbon 'reduction' pledges at the G20. Whilst the pledge is not ideal (it is to reduce the carbon output per unit of GDP, rather than actual reductions) it is nevertheless a huge step forward for the worlds biggest carbon emitter. The Need for Greater Transparency

by State Rep. Jason Murphey (OK-31) I have either been involved in or closely observed some level of government for almost ten years. In that time I have studied a series of local, county and state government entities, as well as an array of government public trusts. I have spent a good deal of time listening to those groups argue about why they needed to continue receiving taxpayer largesse, need more taxes and fees, or want approval for new debt spending.
