Made in Germany | "Welcome to Germany" -- A British Investor in Germany

Barclays bank is well known - at least in Britain - with a branch in practically every town. But how could it break into the German market without buying a German bank? In 1999, Barclays opened a branch in Hamburg, which has traditional links with England. Starting with 15 staff, it now has 400. The bank began early on to specialize in online credit card business.
